: The plant material <i>Saussurea involucrata</i> (Matsum. & Koidz) used in this study was obtained from the Key Laboratory of Agricultural Biotechnology, College of Life Sciences, Shihezi University, Xinjiang, China. All the <i>Saussurea involucrata</i> (Matsum. & Koidz) used in this experiment were laboratory histoculture seedlings, not collected from endangered materials or species.
