: The collection process of plant materials belonging to the subfamily Pap. which were used in this study was strictly in accordance with ethical norms. All plant materials were sampled in July 2020 from Sichuan and Tibet, China. During the collection process, the nature of the land was comprehensively taken into account. In the case of private land that might have been implicated, prior consent from the landowner was procured. For public land, it was ascertained that there was a proper governing body that permitted sampling on the land, and the relevant legal provisions were consulted to guarantee the legality and propriety of sampling.
