: We confirm that experimental research and field studies on modern samples, including the collection of soil and moss polsters, complied with relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines and legislation. All necessary permits were obtained for the described field studies and were granted by the Lijiang Alpine Botanical Garden and the local governments of Yulong County. The samples used in this study were collected by Prof. Yi-Feng Yao, Miss Hui Zeng and Mr. Zi-Yu Wang at Wenhai (26°59′48″ N, 100°10′10″ E, altitude: 3089 m) and Haligu (27°00′12″ N, 100°10′50″ E, 3277 m) of Lijiang city. The samples examined in this study were deposited at the National Museum of Plant History of China, Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The pollen grains and spores extracted from the samples were identified by Prof. Yi-Feng Yao and Miss Hui Zeng.
