Declarations
Ethics approval and consent to participate: Plant material used in this study originated exclusively from cultivated and managed breeding populations established in Chile. Therefore, no sampling was conducted from wild natural populations, and no specific collection permits were required. Species identity ( Eucalyptus camaldulensis and E. sideroxylon ) was based on breeding program records and prior taxonomic identification of the selected plus trees used as parental material. The study complied with all relevant institutional and national guidelines for research involving plant material. As the material originated from non-endangered, widely cultivated species maintained in established plantations, no permits were required under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
Consent for publication: Not applicable.
Competing interests: The authors declare no competing interests.
