: All data presented in this analysis were collected during two prospective studies on delirium (Low cholinesterase activity is a risk factor for delirium after cardiac surgery and “CAM-IMC study). Both studies were approved by the Ethics Committee of the Medical Faculty of the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, Germany (“Low cholinesterase activity is a risk factor for delirium after cardiac surgery”, No. 2019-001; “ Disorientation as a delirium feature in non-intubated patients: development and evaluation of diagnostic accuracy of the ‘Confusion Assessment Method for Intermediate Care Unit’ (CAM-IMC) - a prospective cohort study ”, No. 2020-020). “Low cholinesterase activity is a risk factor for delirium after cardiac surgery” and “ Disorientation as a delirium feature in non-intubated patients: development and evaluation of diagnostic accuracy of the ‘Confusion Assessment Method for Intermediate Care Unit’ (CAM-IMC) - a prospective cohort study ” are registered in the German registry of clinical studies (DRKS00017144, DRKS00026980), respectively.
