Ethics approval and consent to participate: This prospective observational study was approved by the Non-Interventional Clinical Research Ethics Committee of Kütahya Health Sciences University (Kütahya, Türkiye; Decision No. 2025/05–35; approval date 7 April 2025) and conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki (2013 revision). The trial was prospectively registered at ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT06961240; registration date 29 April 2025). Written informed consent, including consent for the acquisition and analysis of facial photographs in both print and electronic forms, was obtained from all participants before enrolment.
Consent for publication: Written informed consent for the publication of facial photographs, including in print and electronic forms, was obtained from the participants whose images appeared in the manuscript figures. In addition, all facial images reproduced in the manuscript were anonymised through heavy blurring and are labelled accordingly; no identifiable patient features are discernible in the published figures.
