: This study was part of a project entitled “The Impact of Self-Care Education on Self-Care Adherence among Chronic Heart Failure Patients Attending” which was registered in the Pan African Clinical Trial Registry (ExternalRef removed) database with unique identification number of PACTR201908812642231. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Debre Markos University (case No HSC/R/C/Ser/Co/24/11/10). All study participants were informed about the purpose of the study verbally, and additional information regarding the risks and benefits of the study, the study procedures, and the voluntary nature of study participation was provided as part of the informed consent process. Consenting participants signed a written informed consent form. Privacy was maintained by excluding participants’ names and other identifying information from study documents. After data collection and analysis was completed, the study educational intervention was also provided to participants in the control group.
