: The CCN database contains electronic patient health records that were retrieved between 2007 and 2018, in accordance with the Dutch Personal Data Protection Act. The Medical Research Ethics Committee of the University Medical Centre Utrecht declared that the Medical Research Involving Human Subjects does not apply to this study, and granted approval to access the database (Reference number: PRIDE 17-359-C). The committee concluded it was not necessary to obtain written informed consent, and data were collected under implied consent. Our study adheres to the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki. The animal experiments were carried out in accordance with institutional guidelines and the recommendations of the Directive 2010/63/EU of the European Parliament on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes and approved by the local ethical committee of Bordeaux (CEEA Bordeaux). Our animals come from an independent supplier. We have signed a supply and hosting agreement with our supplier. This agreement defines the terms of our collaboration with regard to animal experimentation. Our supplier is therefore well informed and, through this agreement, gives his informed consent to the use of animals in our study. Our supplier is also well known and regularly inspected by French regulatory authorities.
