: Ethical approval was provided by the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital Ethical Review Committee (CCTHERC) in accordance with the revised Helsinki Declaration of 1964 (revised 2013) on human experiments with the ethical clearance reference number CCTHERC/EC/2023/043. The study posed miminal risk to participants since it relied on noninvasive procedures. There was no cost or compensation to the respondents. The respondents had the opportunity to be educated on what hypertension was and lifestyle modifications to help control hypertension. Voluntary written informed consent was obtained from the participants. The study was conducted in an environment with no form of coercion, and volunteers were adequately informed of the purpose, nature and procedures of the study.
