: This study and the sepsis data registry received approval from the Human Research Ethics Committee of Thammasat University (Faculty of Medicine) (MTU-EC-EM-0-170/65). The process of obtaining written informed consent took place in the ED. Written informed consent was sought as soon as it was practicable after the patients were suspected of having sepsis. If a patient was unable to give consent, a legally authorized representative was informed and provided consent for the patient’s participation in the research. This study was conducted in accordance with the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki and in accordance with the approved clinical trial protocols and regulations.
