Ethics approval and consent to participate: This study formed part of a larger research project investigating the characteristics, management, as well as short- and long-term outcomes of patients with OHCA treated by HEMS teams of the ÖAMTC Flugrettung. The research project was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Federal State of Lower Austria (GS4-EK-4/703–2020). Owing to the retrospective design, the requirement for written informed consent was waived.
