: The study was approved by the Berkshire Research Ethics Committee, Health Research Authority (IRAS ID 284460, REC reference 20/SC/0230) on 22 May 2020; the qualitative workstream amendment 25 was approved 27/02/2023. Participants gave informed consent before taking part in the study.Amendment 7 (28/05/2021, Category A Substantial) extended the SIREN study for an additional 12 months; Amendment 16 (05/07/2022, Category C Non-substantial) extended the SIREN study to 31 March 2023; and Amendment 28 (28/03/2023 Category C Non-substantial) has extended the study period for a further 5 years to run until March 2028. Initial ethics approval in addition to these amendments cover the study period referred to within this paper.
