Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The studies were carried out according to Dutch privacy legislation. The privacy regulation was approved by the Dutch Data Protection Authority. According to Dutch legislation, approval by a medical ethics committee was not required for these observational studies. All GPs and patients who participated signed an informed consent form before the recording of the consultation. Participants could withdraw their consent at any time.
