Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study protocol, including a verbal consent process consistent with the low risk to study participants, was reviewed by the Yale Human Subjects Committee [Protocol ID 200025321] and was deemed exempt from IRB review under under U.S. federal regulation 45 CFR 46.101(b)(2). Once participants were identified, the interviewer read out the preamble to the interview guide (), which provided information on the purpose of the study and what would be required of participants. The interviewer then turned on the recorder to capture verbal consent, which was included in the resulting transcript in support of audit for adherence with ethical standards.
