: This was a quality improvement project and did not affect patient care nor did it require patient participation. Furthermore, participants were acting in a professional, rather than a personal, capacity and the information generated from this project was used for consensual quality criteria only. According to A pRoject Ethics Community Consensus Initiative (ARECCI) Ethics Guideline Tool [CitationRef removed] and Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS, 2nd edition) [CitationRef removed], this project does not fall within the scope of requiring institutional ethics board approval. Standard ethical procedures, however, were adhered to including receiving informed consent and the ability to withdraw. The objectives of the project, outlining the terms of reference, were presented to all participants. Participants provided written informed consent by responding positively by email to the invitation sent by the Shoulder Core Design Committee.
