: All study procedures were in accordance with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its amendments as well as with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (679/2016). The study participants were informed of the study in detail and signed a written consent declaration.Ethical approval was obtained from the Ethics Committee of Bolzano on 2021/06/16 (approval number 81–2021) under the condition that the GPs’ insurance covered the use of a symptom checker (medical device). All GPs were covered in this regard by their existing insurance, as the use of medical devices was not classified as medical intervention by the insurance companies; thus, no additional insurance policy had to be taken out.
