: Generic ethical approval for observational research using the CPRD, with approval from ISAC, has been granted by a Health Research Authority Research Ethics Committee 10<sup>th</sup> Jan 2022 (REC Reference 21/EM/0265). The study protocol was approved by the CPRD Research Data Governance committee on the 9<sup>th</sup> March 2022 (approval number 22_001704).
