: The Navrongo AWI-Gen study obtained ethics approval from the Navrongo Health Research Centre’s Institutional Review Board (NHRCIRB178). An additional ethical approval for this sub-study was received from the NHRCIRB. Signed or thump-printed informed consent was obtained from all participants to participation. For illiterate participants, informed consent was obtained with a legally authorized representative or witness and Covid-19 protocols were adhered to during the individual interviews and focus group discussions to ensure participant safety. All research procedures were conducted according to ethical principles as outlined in the guidelines and regulations such as the Declaration of Helsinki.
