: The ASTIClite RCT was given approval by London – Chelsea Research Ethics Committee (17/LO/1690) and the EBMT follow up study by North West – Greater Manchester East Research Ethics Committee (17/NW/1669). The ASTIClite RCT also received Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) clinical trials authorisation (14620/0051/001–0001). Written informed consent will be obtained from all participants for both the RCT and follow up study prior to any study-specific procedures. Any amendments will receive ethics approval (and MHRA approval where required), and will be disseminated to investigators and site staff, who will re-consent participants if needed.The clinical sites taking part in the study are: Barts Health NHS Trust, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, NHS Lothian, Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
