: All methods in the present study were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations of the Iran National Committee for Ethics in Biomedical Research. Additionally, the study was approved by the ethical committee of Urmia University of Medical Sciences under the ethical code of IR.UMSU.REC.1398.533. All participants in the study provided their informed consent and were also informed about the study. The questionnaires were completed about the demographic variables of the participants by interview. Only stool samples were used and studied and patients gave their permission to use their samples. No sample was taken solely for the present study and we used the same sample that the patients delivered to the laboratories for their other laboratory tests requested by their physicians.
