: The study was approved by the board of ethics committee, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran and received ethical approval code (IR.SBMU.RETECH.REC.1402.194). Data was extracted from a local database registry on bariatric surgery and written informed consent was obtained from each patient before including to this registry. No identifiable personal information from any patients is included in this study. The institutional review board (IRB) classified the study as minimal risk research because we waived the need for secondary informed consent from the participants.
