: This study will was conducted in accordance with the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki and the National Research Ethics Review Guidelines of Ethiopia. Ethical approval was sought from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Asrat Woldeyes Health Science Campus, Debre Berhan University (DBU) with reference number 410 prior to commencing the study.A formal letter of cooperation and permission was also obtained from the administrative offices of the selected hospitals. All participants were fully informed about the objectives, procedures, potential benefits, and risks of the study. Written informed consent was obtained from each participant before enrollment. For participants who are illiterate, the consent form was read to them in a language they understood, and a thumbprint was collected in the presence of an impartial witness. Participants with findings indicative of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatosis liver disease were counseled and referred to appropriate clinical services for further management.
