Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This 20-year follow-up focused solely on medical records without any personal contact with the former participants. All procedures performed in the studies involving human participants’ register data were in accordance with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. Risk evaluation has been carried out in accordance with EU data protection regulation and the Finnish data protection act (1050/2018). The study protocol was approved by the Human Ethics Committee of the Tampere Region, University of Tampere, Finland (approval 53/2017)) and conducted in accordance with the Helsinki declaration.
