Research ethics approval was obtained from the University of Alberta Health Research Ethics Board (Pro00101778) and the University of Calgary Conjoint Health Research Ethics Board (REB20-1094) on the basis that the study complied with the declaration of Helsinki and that the protocol followed existing good clinical practice guidelines.
