: The study was approved by two local Scientific Ethics and Clinical Research Committees: IDIAP Jordi Gol (19/206-P) and FORES (Fundació d’Osona per la Recerca Educació Sanitàries) (2019-106/PR237). Authors certify that the study was performed in accordance with the ethical standards as laid down in the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. No administrative permissions and/or licenses were required to access the clinical/personal patient data used in this study. All participants (or their surrogates in cases of incapacity) were enrolled using an informed verbal consent process, in accordance with the applicable legal regulations (Royal Decree 1090/2015 of 4 December; European Regulation 536/2014 of 16 April; Royal Decree 41/2002 of 14 November); and they had the right to refuse participation. This study followed the guidelines established by the 64th General Assembly of the WMA (World Medical Association) contained in the update of the Helsinki Principles. Afterwards, we included the patient’s verbal informed consent in their electronic health record. This was approved by two local Scientific Ethics and Clinical Research Committees: IDIAP Jordi Gol (19/206-P) and FORES (Fundació d’Osona per la Recerca Educació Sanitàries) (2019–106/PR237).
: Two Clinical Research Committees who assessed the project considered it was not necessary to obtain explicit patient consent for publication because the data used did not compromise patients’ anonymity. The anonymization was performed in accordance with Spanish legislation on Data Protection (Law 15/1999 on Data Protection and CEE 2016–679 regulation). Data were dissociated and a code number was used for each patient. Moreover, the data were not provided to outside personnel or entities.
