: The study was approved by the Ethical Review Board of the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Tilburg University, on 16<sup>th</sup> February 2018 no. EC-2017.EX144 and the Ethical Review Board of De Wever Tilburg on 8<sup>th</sup> December 2017.The board managers of two nursing homes granted access to the active archives of the organisations. For the use of the extracted data from these confidential documents, written permission was obtained from the corporate secretaries of organisations A and B. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Informed consent to participate was obtained from all study participants prior to the interviews.
