The study has received a positive votum from the Medical Ethics Committee of the University of Oldenburg (2021 − 120). The amendment to assess the income of the participants was accepted on 10 November 2023. Written informed consent to participate in the study was obtained from the participants themselves or, in cases where this was not possible, from their legal guardians or family members. In instances of severe cognitive decline or dementia, consent was provided by a proxy, adhering to ethical guidelines for research involving adults who lack the capacity to provide informed consent.
