: The study protocol was approved by the Committee of Human research ethics at Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (Protocol Number CEISH-494-2023).The informed consent process was conducted in Spanish by trained personnel. All individuals who attended the health evaluation fair were provided with a written copy of the Informed Consent form which was also read to them. After being given the opportunity to ask questions, participants were invited to sign the informed consent form. A copy of the form was provided to them for their records.
