: The study was approved by the Institutional Human Ethical Committee of Central University of Kerala (IHEC/CUK/2023/47). The quantitative phase of the study utilized publicly available deidentified secondary data. No personally identifiable information was accessed, used or reported at any stage of research. The LASI survey data was obtained from the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai through a formal request ( ). The in-depth interviews in the qualitative phase were conducted after obtaining informed consent from the participant. Participation was voluntary and no compensation was provided for participation. The privacy and confidentiality of the participants were ensured throughout the study.
