: This study was conducted using microdata from the Türkiye Elderly Profile Survey conducted by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). Only secondary data was used in the study, and no direct data was collected from individuals. Official permission and a microdata usage commitment were obtained from TurkStat for the use of the data. TurkStat produces data in accordance with national and international standards (European Union Statistical Office, United Nations, OECD, ILO, etc.) within the scope of Turkish Statistical Law No. 5429 [31] and the Official Statistics Program [32] prepared based on this law. The Türkiye Elderly Profile Survey is a study conducted under the legal responsibility of the state and consists of data collected in accordance with the principles of participant confidentiality and data security. Therefore, no separate ethics committee approval is required for the data used in the study. In this context, the study fully complies with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, data privacy legislation, and TurkStat’s data security standards.
