: Before starting data collection, ethical clearance was obtained from the Department Research and Ethics Review Committee, Department of Biochemistry, College of Health Sciences, Addis Ababa University, Reference No. SOM/DRERC/BCHM046/2009. Informed written consent from the study participants’ family or guardian and assent from study participants was obtained after a clear explanation about the purpose and aims of the study. Samples and data were collected after informed consent/assent had been obtained. Confidentiality, anonymity, neutrality, accountability and academic honesty was maintained throughout the study.
