Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethical approval was obtained from the Nigerian National Health Research Ethics Committee, under number NHREC/01/01/2007–29/09/2015b. No consent from individual patients was required for this study. The study entailed direct observation of HCWs as they cared for DR-TB patients as well as interviewing HCWs to obtain the required information to calculate the health service costs of providing care to DR-TB patients. Written informed consent was obtained from HCWs prior to interviewing them.
