: <b>SPSK</b> holds a PhD in international health from the University of Bergen, Norway. He is a faculty at the School of Public Health, Makerere University and a co-principal investigator of the PMA2020 project in Uganda.<b>JCS</b> holds a PhD in Environmental Toxicology from the University at Albany, USA. He is a senior lecturer at the School of Public Health, Makerere University, and a co-investigator of the PMA2020 Schistosomiasis project in Uganda.<b>RS</b> holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from Makerere University, Uganda. He is a research associate at the School of Public Health, Makerere University and was a Senior data analyst for the PMA2020 Schistosomiasis project in Uganda.<b>SR</b> holds a PhD from Brown University. He is a Senior Scientist and Director of the PMA2020 at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.<b>FEM</b> holds a PhD in epidemiology and population studies from Johns Hopkins University, USA. He is an Associate professor at the School of Public Health, Makerere University and the Principal Investigator of the PMA2020 project in Uganda.

: The study was approved by the Makerere University School of Public Health Higher Degrees and Ethics Committee (HDREC protocol 424) and the Institutional Review Board of the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health (IRB00007024). Final research clearance was received from the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (HS 2069). Permission was also sought from the district authorities. Written informed consent was provided by all the caregivers of children in the study.
