: Ethical clearance was obtained from Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the university of Gondar. Permission letter was obtained from the hospital administration and TB ward focal person in the four TICs. Personal identifiers were not included to maintain confidentiality. The nature of the study, which was retrospective record review, limits to access study subjects to request their consent to participate into the study. As a result of this, the institutional Review Board (IRB) of the university waived the consent from the study participants directly.
