Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study was part of the departmental data review process in the EWAR unit of the Surveillance and Prevention department at the NCCD. The use of data for this study was approved by the Department of Surveillance and Prevention of Infectious Diseases, National Center for Communicable Diseases, Mongolia. The need for ethics approval was deemed unnecessary according to “the law regarding a life ethics and an immediacy” of Korea, because this study used processed data sets without any personal identifiers, and did not involve any of the data sets in such a way that individuals might be identified. Although no personal identifiers were involved and no individuals stood to be jeopardized by the study, institutional research guidelines were adhered to, to ensure scientific soundness.
