Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The investigation of the outbreak was carried out by public health agencies as the legally authorized mandate. Section 108 of Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China law (chapter 7) requires the investigation department to have the right to find out from relevant units and individuals about the situation related to the incident, and collect relevant information and samples. The relevant units and individuals shall cooperate with them and shall not refuse. Thus, it was a minimum risk study that was not subject to the ethical approval of the institutional review committee. In addition, we still gave oral announcement to all respondents before the investigation and obtained a part of signed questionnaires.
