: This article reports on routine surveillance activities, and therefore, approval from the research ethics committee was not required. <i>Rickettsia</i> serological data was extracted from PHOL Labware database by an authorized user (KC). Before sharing the data with co-authors, the authorized Labware user removed potential identifiers and transformed sera-level data to patient-level data. The data provided to the co-authors included a patient ID number (chronologically assigned to sera sample number; cannot be used to identify a patient or sera sample once assigned).
