: Ethical committee clearance was provided by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Research Ethics Committee and the National Health Research Ethics Committee of Nigeria to undertake this study which uses retrospective routine data collected as part of LF surveillance in Nigeria. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control collects data in line with the Disease Surveillance and Notification system using the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response Strategy in Nigeria. Nigeria Centre for Disease Control shared the data with the first author of the manuscript from Public Health England in accordance with a data sharing agreement.
