: The study was conducted according to the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki. The study was reviewed and approved by the UMMC Medical Research Ethics Committee (MREC ID Nos. 202032-8337 and 2020523-8671). The study utilized routinely reported information from the hospital Disease Response and Preparedness Centre. In addition, the Department of Public Health and Department of Infection Control, University Malaya Medical Centre conducted the outbreak investigation and compiled the individual’s information in their database, which was then provided to the research team after administrative approval. The research team did not have any direct contact with the patients, and therefore, consent was not required from the patients. All information on risk assessment and daily symptom surveillance were included in the Hospital Information System to ensure data security. Data were de-identified to protect the privacy of the individuals included in the analysis.
