Declarations
:
: Ethics approval for the study was obtained from the Ethics Review Committee of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Informed written consent was obtained from all participants, from whom a blood sample was collected (nā=ā2721). Written consent was not taken when obtaining a nasopharyngeal swab for diagnostic purposes, as this was carried out to identify individuals who were infected from the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the community, as a part of the Ministry of Health policy at that time. As the nasopharyngeal swabs for RT-qPCR was sent to our laboratory for routine diagnostic testing in these individuals as a part of the surveillance process of the Ministry of Health, the Ethics committee approved using this data for this study, with deidentification of individuals.
