: The data used in this study was initially collected for routine care in efforts to detect and control the spread of tuberculosis. Administrative approval to access the routinely collected de-identified laboratory data was obtained from the National TB reference Laboratory, National TB Program—Ministry of Health, Kampala, Uganda. A confidentiality agreement signed by the author and filed with the Data Manager. All the data collected for the study were fully anonymized and no patient names were used throughout the data collection and analysis phase. No additional approval was required since the study utilized de-identified routinely collected data.
