: This analysis was based on the Service Provision Assessment Survey DHS project from Afghanistan, Haiti, Malawi, Nepal, and Senegal. Ethical clearance to undertake the survey was granted by the respective national authorizing bodies. For Afghanistan, approval for the survey was granted by the General Directorate of Monitoring & Evaluation and Health.Information Systems with the Ministry of Public Health, Afghanistan. For Haiti, approval for the survey was granted by le Comité d’Ethique National and was implemented by Institut Haïtien de l’Enfance, Haiti. For Malawi, approval for the survey was granted by the National Health Sciences Research Committee and was implemented by the Ministry of Health (MoH), Malawi. For Nepal, approval for the survey was granted by the Public Health Administration Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the Ministry of Health, Nepal. For Senegal, approval for the survey was granted by Agence Nationale de la Statistique et de la Démographie. Informed written consent was obtained from the health care providers prior to being interviewed. Owing to the use of secondary data, no further consents were sought. The study conducted a secondary analysis with no identifiable information on survey respondents.
