: Ethical clearance was secured during the establishment of the longitudinal project from the Arba Minch University ethical review committee, Ethiopian public health association (EPHA) ethical review board, and the American Center for Disease Control (CDC) Atlanta. The study participants were informed about the purpose of the study and informed verbal consent was obtained during the establishment of the project, baseline, and follow up data collection. The right of study subjects was respected at any time of the interview, and information confidentiality was reserved anonymously.
