Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study was approved by the University of Rwanda ethic committee (Reference number 280/CMHS IRB/2022). The patients were not required to provide consent for participation in this study; access to anonymized tuberculosis data for this study was provided by Rwanda Biomedical Center. The full name of the Institutional Review Board that waived informed consent for participation in this study is called University of Rwanda, College of medicine and health sciences Institutional Review Board. All methods in this study were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations of studies involving human beings. Because the data were extracted from the electronic system, we did not consent the study participants, but the dataset was kept in confidential folder and was de-identified (no names extracted).
