: Ethical clearance was obtained from the ethical review committee of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Wollo University, on the date 21/06/2022 with a protocol number of CMHS/65/2022. Permission was obtained from Borumeda General Hospital, where the study was conducted. After briefly describing the significance of the study, the participants or children’s parents or guardians signed informed written consent. Confidentiality of the data was maintained. Finally, the laboratory test results that directly impacted the health of the study participants were shared with both physicians and the participants, who received their results and necessary treatment promptly.
