Participants were not identified and all individuals signed a statement agreement to participate in the research. Triatomine collection was registered and approved by the Biodiversity Authorization and Information System – SISBIO (Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, Brazil), under license 77174-1. No animals were used in the present study. The mentioned animals are the result of the identification of available vertebrate DNA sequences in the GenBank database.
