: Ethics approval was obtained from the Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta Health Research Ethics Committee (HREC). At the ART clinic, the healthcare worker usually seeks written informed consents from PLHIVs about use of their data for research purposes while receiving treatment and when they no longer attend the clinic. Our study was a secondary data analysis of the study participants’ ART records. Hence, the need for consent to participate was waived by the FMCA-HREC before the commencement of the data retrieval (protocol number- FMCA/470/HREC/01/2023/23). The declaration of Helsinki and national guidelines were followed in the conduct of the study.
