: Ethical clearance was obtained from the Committee of Human Research, Publication, and Ethics, School of Medical Sciences, KNUST (CHRPE/AP/186/23). Also, approval was sought from the Health Directorate of the Kumasi South Hospitals (KSH/RESH-50). Informed consent was obtained from all participants. The participants were educated on the relevance of the study and their enrolment was strictly out of free will. Participants were able to withdraw completely or halt their participation midway without any repercussions. All information provided to the interviewers were strictly confidential and records were securely stored in a locker. The participants were given nutrition education, and the study outcome was be communicated to them.
