: The study was approved under non-regulated research as a quality improvement project; therefore was exempt from informed consent, ethics committee, or Institutional Review Board approval, as determined by the University of Texas Health at San Antonio Institutional Review Board (San Antonio, TX, USA). This study was a retrospective chart review of an intervention that had already been made under the local antimicrobial stewardship program as quality improvement. All methods were performed in accordance with the institution relevant guidelines and regulations.
