: Ethical approval was obtained from the Ghana Health Service Ethics Review Committee in Ghana (GHS-ERC005/04/18) and also from the Ethics Committee of the Hannover Medical School in Germany (7902_BO_K_2018). Consent to participate was deemed not necessary for this study as TB registry data used in the study are routinely collected by the TB Control Programme as part of national surveillance of infectious diseases in Ghana. Permission to implement the study was obtained from the National TB Control Programme. Special identification numbers replaced the names after the record linkage and analysis was completed.
